Terms of Use

Last updated 9 September 2026

By loading or playing Insane City (the "Game") at insane.city you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.

In plain English: this is a free toy. Play it, enjoy it, don't attack it, don't pretend it's yours, and understand that it comes with no guarantees of any kind.

1. Licence to play

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable licence to play the Game in a browser for your own entertainment. All other rights are reserved by the operator.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may block any IP address, session or client, or withdraw access entirely, at any time and without notice, in order to protect the service or its players.

3. Multiplayer conduct

The Game includes a shared world where a display name and your in-world position are visible to other players. Anything you type into the display-name field is public. You are solely responsible for what you transmit. We do not pre-screen, moderate, endorse, or take responsibility for names or behaviour chosen by other players, and you interact with them at your own risk.

4. Availability

The Game is provided free of charge and on an as-available basis. There is no uptime commitment. We may modify, suspend, restrict or discontinue the Game, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice or liability. Game worlds, sessions and any in-game state may be reset at any time.

5. Intellectual property and disclaimers of association

The Game is an original work of fiction. Meridian Bay, Vertigo Point and every other place in it are invented. The Game is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, the Grand Theft Auto series, Bugatti, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, or any other company, product, vehicle marque, or property referred to or evoked anywhere in it.

Vehicles in the Game are original design studies inspired by real-world engineering, not licensed replicas. Buildings that share a name with real architecture are stylised, non-measured interpretations shown for illustrative and educational purposes; their placement, dimensions and surroundings are fictional and must not be relied on for any purpose. All third-party names and marks remain the property of their respective owners and are used, where used at all, only for identification and commentary.

Attributions for third-party software are listed in the project's third-party notices.

6. Not a simulator

Driving, flight, landing, physics, wind, traffic and structural behaviour in the Game are arcade approximations built for entertainment. Nothing in the Game is engineering data, pilot training, navigational information, or safety analysis, and it must not be used or relied upon as any of those things.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, or that the Game will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free. You use the Game at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill or business, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Game, on any theory of liability, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Game shall not exceed one hundred United States dollars (USD $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of the two sections above may not apply to you. In that case they apply to the greatest extent permitted by law, and nothing here limits liability for fraud, personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Game, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

10. Health notice

The Game renders continuous motion in 3D. A very small proportion of people may experience motion sickness, discomfort, or photosensitive seizures. If your system requests reduced motion the world starts paused. Stop playing and consult a doctor if you experience dizziness, nausea, altered vision, or involuntary movement.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page and the date above. Continuing to play after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions stay in full force. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and the operator concerning the Game. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
